Another Beautiful Sample

Helen has just finished Heartfelt Wishes...isn't it beautiful.

Thanks Helen for completing another sample for me. She gets to keep this one.

We have a limited number of kits available here until more patterns arrive.

Drawstring Bag

Remember the needlecase Helen made me for Christmas???

I decided I needed a little bag to keep my stitching project in and this is what I made...

a matching drawstring bag.
Fits nicely in my briefcase or handbag.

Another OPAM finish.
Just love making this little bear.
Happy Australia Day everyone

Peppermint Pin Cushion and Santa Thread Catcher.

I tried to have this made in time for Christmas...better late than never as they say. The pattern asked for crushed walnut shells but I used rice instead...can we buy crushed walnut shells in Australia??
It's so cute, it's a shame that I will have to wait until December to use it.

Not Happy Jan or should I say Helen

Be warned this is what happens to you when you work on a Bronwyn Hayes pattern. Poor Helen, while we love Bronwyn's patterns they can be very frustrating.

But, after all the head scratching this is what was made...

Beautiful!!!

Gifts Received

I have been busy cleaning, sorting containers of fabric scraps for kits and general laying low before I go back to work. But I wanted to share some of the wonderful handmade gifts I received.

Beautiful oven mitts from Helen...can't use them only for show of course.

Helen also made me a lovely needle case

Needle case open

From Teresa I received a delicious Molten chocolate cake in Mug in a sewing bag and a gorgeous scissors keep, 2 candy canes and a christmas ornie (I forgot to take a photo of it)

4 Christmas mugs and 6 handmade coasters from Ronnie we used them Christmas morning.

Some smellies and a new diary from Jan to keep me on track. I also received some yummy homebaked goodies from Laurel but they didn't hang around long enough to get their picture taken.

That's Laurel in the green top... great cook

I felt very special and it is wonderful to have beautiful friends looking forward to another great year, girls

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010
